We will take a chunk of this week's class to hold a workshop on your final-project topics. So please come with at least one or two good ideas about what you would like to work on, and Allen and I will get a chance to talk with each individual or group about how to best define or approach you topics. This should help you make better use of the fall break next week to really make some progress on your projects.

Here's an additional thought about the workshop: if you don't normally bring a laptop to class, and if it's not too inconvenient to do so, you might want to this week. Then if you have spare time during the workshop, you can be looking up information, etc.
